Begin shopping for wedding party dresses & suits
Have wedding dress altered (decide if going to diet)
Organise gym membership (hire a trainer to help decide the best way for you to lose weight properly)
Choose & order invitations
Book any cars-transportation
Research hair & makeup artists (NB: if you want to do this yourself on your day -prepare for wedding day nerves as an artist will run a trial of your look and make sure you look perfect on your day
Look into eating healthier and cleaner for clearer wedding day skin
Shop for hair accessories, jewellery and shoes etc.
Set up gift registry or list
Plan and book honeymoon

8-6 Months BEFORE
Send out Save the date (announcements, social media, either card or PDF)
Research and order cake
Meet with officiant (decide on type of wedding modern or traditional services available to you)
Research and order wedding favours(think if you want to do these yourself to make it feel more special, only if you have the time)
Purchase wedding rings
Ask wedding party to plan hen night/stag night

5-4 Months BEFORE
Book wedding night accommodation
Work with florist and decide final bouquet choices (take a look at our wedding day flowers and meanings)
Decide on playlist or band (first dance song).

Decide if you need dancing lessons. Make any rental arrangements of tables, chairs any specific crockery
Reserve any additional sound/lighting or

3-2 Months BEFORE
Send out wedding invites
Finalize menu with caterer
Obtain marriage licence NB: In England and Wales you are required to give 28 days notice of your intention to marry within the 12 months of wedding date period) Both parties to the marriage must send their completed marriage notice forms relevant documents declarations and fees to the registrar of marriages for the council district where the marriage is to take place. Your marriage notice will be placed on a public display at the registrars' office for all to witness and detest if necessary that you are free to marry one another.
Begin to write vows
Decide and order gifts for bridal party
Purchase wedding decor (table plans, order of service, welcome boards, table numbers, backdrops (we have it all)
Finalise order of service
Schedule hair and make up test run

2-1 Months BEFORE
Finalise seating arrangements (table plan) (guests should have informed you of their attendance within 6 weeks before wedding)
Track rsvps and follow up with non responders
Confirm details with vendors
Order thank you notes
Confirm honeymoon booking
Make final payments where possible (avoids handling cash on wedding day)
Decide on wet or cold weather contingency plans
Meet with photographer
Organise guest book cake servers candles and table decorations
Confirm centre pieces bouquets and buttonholes with florist

Give final schedule to all important parties
Give final guest count to caterer
Confirm vendor arrival delivery times for day
Break in wedding shoes (both bride and groom)
Book and attend waxing and threading appointment
Finalise your vows

Give rings and vendor check to best man and for the day of
Attend Manicure and pedicure appointment
Drink lots of water
Finish packing for honeymoon
Stay relaxed, try a massage if sleeping is an issue, get an early night sleep
