For over 25 years the UK Chalkboard Company has specialised in delighting its many customers by providing unique and exceptional artist drawn and digitally produced chalkboards on our state of the art Canon printer.
We have also recognised that aside from the commercial market, our bespoke and intimately crafted chalkboard masterpieces are perfect for weddings creating a permanent memento for the bride and groom and also guests and for the home where the ability to have a personally designed board can make any room more a home.
Recognising the quality of our work we have been delighted that Channel 4, BBC and Universal Films have all made use of our individually drawn chalkboards.
We have stared in “The Worlds End” film, the Lorraine Kelly show and supply the chalkboards for Gino D’Acampo’s new 'My Pasta Bar' shops throughout the UK. We have also worked with companies such as Ralph Lauren, twitter, Google, Sanderson, and Empire magazine. You can be assured that when you place an order with us you that will be the start of a wonderful experience all the way through to the delivery of your individually designed and painted board. No-one will ever have the same as you as we only deliver hand-crafted goods at a quality that is second to none.
Who We Are
We are a small family run business consisting of two sisters (professional designer and the other a mad woman trying to keep it all running along with a husband/brother n law/ website designer. Besides this team we have additional staff who cut, paint and put together as well as our dispatch team. We work extremely hard and nonstop from 7:30am until we all collapse after our courier has been each day which is normally around 4:30pm. There are additional staff running the office taking your call and answering your emails during the day and when it gets busy you may get an email from the mad women late at night trying to keep on top of it all. Our phone lines can get extremely busy so please bare, with us as we can only answer one phone call at a time and either send us an email or go on our live chat where we are only too happy to look into, your enquiry for you.
All our orders are processed each day and fingers crossed there are no staff sickness or annual leave we can stay on target to get our orders processed in a timely manner. Kindly note however from time to time staff fall sick and this will and does have a knock on effect all we ask is for a little patience and understanding and we will get to your order knowing we are working as hard and as fast as we can to get this out to you. If its of urgent nature, please make us aware and we will do everything we possibly can to avoid any further delay so that it arrives for your event.
We do not tolerate threats or bad language and all we ask is to treat us how you would like to be treated yourself. If there are any issues, we will do everything we can to get this resolved for you as quickly as we can.
Behind the scenes
Our History
1997
Carrie the professional chalkboard artist was going round pubs nationwide which was very costly to the pubs, and restaurants as sometimes Carrie might travel for 4-6 hours which was chargeable to the customer.
1999
Met her husband Mark who is a web developer
2009
Carrie and Mark was due to have a baby so Mark said to Carrie you can't travel arouns the countyr wilst being pregnant so ...... he created her a website so we could sell nationwide and sent via couriour.
2015
We was getting requests for 1k boards with logo's and Carrie could not keep up, we also found the chalk pens do tend to fade after a few months which as was great for us as people kept coming back each year! but no so good for the customer so after many months looking into a solution we invested heavley into a printer that can print driectly onto chalkboards, Carrie still does all the artwork just digitally using Adobe package or ipad with the Apple pen to draw the finder illustrations. The rest is history as they say!
